Winner of the Second Prize

Ursa Major

I am a compulsive reader, a keen singer of sea shanties, an enthusiastic walker of coast paths and a daily listener to Radio 3. My working life has ranged from computer modelling urban traffic congestion, through academic journal admin, to university student administration, always on the lookout for quirky personalities and intriguing situations. I have had short fiction published in both Britain and Canada and one of my stories appeared in the Parracombe Prize Anthology earlier this year. I currently live and write in North Somerset.
